And from that success comes our Easy Irons. A series of “hybrids” combining the benefits of high lofted fairway metals with the manageability of irons to create a series of clubs to replace the long irons in your bag. Available in both right hand and left hand, there are four lofts available, each loft and number reflecting the iron they replace; #1 at 16o replaces a #1 iron or driving iron. #2 at 19o replaces a #2 iron #3 at 22o replaces a #3 iron #4 at 25o replaces a #4 iron We go no higher than this because we believe from our testing that when you get to a #5 iron, there are benefits derived from the #5 iron in terms of shot dispersion, length and trajectory consistency and other technical reasons why you should not replace any iron higher than a #4. The design of each head continues our company philosophy of transitional mass, which in simple terms is about weight placement in relation to loft to achieve an optimum flight trajectory with every club. High emphasis is placed on club head stability, centre of gravity and weight placement to achieve a high moment of inertia (resistance to twisting on off centre hits) which translates into greater accuracy and better overall results. Imagine needing the distance of a #2 iron, but using a club that is as easy to hit as your #7 iron (and with a similar trajectory)…. Would that work for you? We can hear you saying… “Would it what!”
As with all GCR products, the design is kept clean, understated, and appealing to the eye, so that you can focus on the shot at hand in the knowledge that the very best and latest technology is built into the club so that you can perform to your maximum potential, and get more enjoyment from your game.
So why the number change? Due to the ball flight properties of the offset easy's, the distance achieved is slightly less than with the originals, but in sync with the set of irons, so it made sense that the numbers reflect the iron that each would replace. So with this series, think in terms of number, not loft, and add the perfect combination for your own game.
So now there is a choice of either "straight neck" or "offset" easy irons that allows you to continue building your set of clubs to suit your own game, and as with all GCR products, you can do this one club at a time. Isn't that a better way to enjoy the game? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
